Becoming a foster family in Missouri means opening your home to a child who needs a safe place to live. Among the pre-service requirements: becoming certified in CPR and first aid. It is one condition alongside the family assessment and competency-based training.
急救要求
In Missouri, foster parent applicants must become certified in CPR and first aid as part of pre-service requirements, and prior to licensure each adult with parenting responsibilities must complete competency-based training approved by the Children's Division, under 13 CSR 35-60. The CPR/first-aid certification is arranged during the assessment and licensing process.
To maintain traditional licensure, foster parents complete additional in-service training every two years and keep the certification current. It is one requirement in addition to the family assessment and the parenting suitability the Children's Division reviews — it does not by itself qualify a person to foster.
